Opened in January 1973, Vital Vittles was the first storefront of the newly created Students of Georgetown, Inc. Originally a food co-op located in the lobby of New South, the store sold only yogurt and Coke.

Vital Vittles moved to its current location in the Leavey Center in August of 1988. It has since grown into a full-service grocery store, carrying everything from meat and produce to frozen foods and cereal.

Vittles also offers a wide selection of sandwiches, chips, and drinks for meals on the go and an ever-growing variety of vegetarian, vegan, and organic products. We are always looking to make the store better, so be on the look out for new arrivals that are right around the corner.

Originally a fresh idea sourced from our very own student body in 2012, The Hilltoss opened its doors to the public on November 14, 2014. Since its humble beginnings as one of many options on a student poll, The Hilltoss has been made possible through the enthusiasm and contributions of countless members of both the overall Georgetown community and The Corp.

Since 2016, The Hilltoss has included Grounded, the Corp’s newest coffee shop. Grounded sells coffee, tea, non-espresso based specialty drinks, breakfast toasts, and bagel sandwiches.

As a healthy dining option on the south-side of campus, this storefront will fill the gap between Lau and Leo’s offering fresh creations to keep students fueled up and feeling great.

In the spring of 1999, The Corp opened More Uncommon Grounds (MUG) to serve the students, faculty, and staff who work, study, and socialize in the ICC Galleria. MUG provides the perfect morning jolt or afternoon pick-me-up. Serving bagels, muffins, and pastries along with coffee and espresso drinks, MUG satisfies a range of tastes for the peckish. MUG also offers a variety of cold sandwiches and salads for those looking for a heartier meal.

The perfect place to stop for a quick break or extended study session, MUG is there to provide you with efficient service and quality goods. Affectionately known as the "little cart with the big heart," MUG makes up for its small size with its deep appreciation for its customers, and our team is always looking for new ways to make each day a little bit better for the Georgetown community.
