Is the Corp entirely student-run?
From the CEO, to the cashiers, to every member of the Board of Directors, Students of Georgetown, Inc. is run entirely by Georgetown undergraduates. This makes the Corp unlike any other company in the world. In fact, the Corp is the only student company that enjoys the freedom of having a governing Board of Directors composed of only students.
The operations, governance, and funds of the Corp are wholly separate from Georgetown University.

Yes.

How can I purchase Corp Cash?
Corp Cash is available to students, professors, and GU visitors and is redeemable only at Corp services. To purchase Corp Cash in denominations of $5, email marketing@thecorp.org with the amount you would like.

What is a Corp Card?
Corp cards are gift cards available in denominations of $10 and $25. They can be purchased or redeemed at any Corp service.

How can I display my art in a Corp coffee shop?
Students display art at Uncommon Grounds and Midnight Mug in rotating exhibits, including photography, drawings and paintings. GU students are welcome to participate. If you or a friend is interested, contact ug.art@thecorp.org for Uncommon Grounds and mm.art@thecorp.org for Midnight Mug.

How can I sign up for Uncommon Grounds catering?
Uncommon Grounds catering offers a delicious selection of bagels, muffins, pastries, coffee and tea and operates for student and faculty campus events. For a catering registration form, click here.

How can I book my band in Midnight Mug?
Midnight Mug features bands, a capella groups and student musicians throughout the year as a way to bring together the Corp and the students it serves. For an opportunity to play on what is becoming a famous stage, email mm.programming@thecorp.org.

How can I apply for a Corp scholarship?
The Corp awards 3 scholarships to for $1,000 each, 2 for non-Corp employees and 1 for a Corp employee. Further information can be found on the Corp’s homepage.

How can I apply for a MUG scholarship?
More Uncommon Grounds in the ICC offers 10% of its revenues to qualified undergraduates each spring. This past year, MUG awarded $8000 to a total of 10 students. Applications are available at MUG each fall and are due near the end of classes that semester. Visit MUG for more details.

How does the Board of Directors work?
The Board consists of the CEO, the COO and the CFO along with 4 non paid student volunteers who oversee the Corp's business and campus involvement. The Board organizes projects where the Corp can directly give back to students, like the Holiday Gala, the philanthropy committee, and student scholarships.

What kinds of Hoyas are you looking for on the board?
Board members are active members of the campus community who often serve as leaders in other campus groups. The Corp seeks students who can enrich our campus interactions and serve as a liaison between the company and the student body. All undergraduates are encouraged to apply.

How do I apply for the Board of Directors?
The Board changes on April 1st every year, and applications are released in early March. Applications are online and at Vital Vittles.
