About the Corp Our History The Board Corp Directors Internal Services

Meet the Board

Jesse Scharff
CEO and President

Jesse (COL '09) is a theology major and government minor.  He is from northeast Portland, Oregon (the NEP) and is proud to represent it.  Jesse began his Corp career as a bright-eyed cashier at Hoya Snaxa during the second semester of his freshman year.  During his time at Snaxa, he served as director of operations (better known as "the deputy"), interim director of marketing and interim director of purchasing.  He enjoys the coziness of the Snaxa back office and ranch corn nuts, which Snaxa recently began selling.  He is especially pleased with Vital Vittles' decision to paint the walls green and looks forward to helping the Corp accomplish this metaphorically.  On campus, Jesse has also been involved with the Georgetown University Legislative Advocates (GULA) and co-founded Georgetown's sustainability focused Campus Climate Challenge.  He is honored to be a part of the Corp's long tradition and believes strongly in its power to be a campus leader in providing opportunities for student advocacy, entrepreneurship experience and support for the multifaceted desires and demands of students.  One day in the distant future, Jesse hopes to find himself performing as a dancer at hyphy hip-hop shows in California's Bay Area.

Shane Giuliani
Chairman
Board of Directors

Shane Giuliani (SFS '09) is a Comparative Studies major (Russia, China, and India) from Orlando, Florida. Shane is serving his second year on the Board of Directors. He hopes to see the Corp continue demonstrating its dedication to its motto - "Students Serving Students" - through enhanced quality of its services and further outreach into the Georgetown community. In addition to his involvement in the Corp, Shane has served as the Associate Vice President of the Georgetown Admissions Ambassador Program, an OA and Captain for New Student Orientation ('06, '07 and '08), an Associate Member of the Lecture Fund, and a Blue & Gray tour guide. He has also worked for the Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding and the Office of Campus Activity Facilities. Shane wants all his fellow Hoyas to take advantage of the Turkey and Bunny Shuttles 'cuz…why not?...it's only five bucks to Reagan.

Adah Berkovich
Chief Operating Officer

Adah Berkovich (SFS '09) is a Culture & Politics major from Baltimore, Maryland. She became a part of the Corp in the second semester of her freshman year when she was hired at More Uncommon Grounds. She vividly remembers the day she decided to fill out a Corp application and still regards it as the best decision she has made at Georgetown. Although she will always have a strong love for her home service and the cool shade of the palm trees in the ICC Galleria, she is very excited to share her pride and dedication to the Corp with all Corpies during her term as COO. Adah drinks an exorbitant amount of green tea, is shamelessly addicted to pop music of the '90s and thinks the perfect temperature is a sunny 64 degrees. She is also known to use abbreviations whenever poss. When she is not working at a Corp service, you can find her donning facepaint and cheering for the Hoyas at the Verizon Center. Adah hopes to one day be fluent in five languages and run her own business

Chief Financial Officer

Will Marks
Board of Directors

Will Marks (COL '09) is a Government major. He hails from the great state of North Carolina and is proud to be one of the few Hoyas from the South (yes, he does like NASCAR). This year's term on the Board is Will's first experience inside the Corp. He has previously been involved in planning student events such as Traditions Week and the Spring Kickoff Concert. However, his greatest claim to fame on the Hilltop is being "that t-shirt guy" -  working as a sales rep for his family's t-shirt company, selling shirts to many student groups across campus. Will is excited to work as the director of the Shuttle services and as the head of Corp Outreach, and he hopes to bring his planning experience to help the Corp expand into new services and help existing services reach Georgetown students in new, exciting ways. Outside of the Corp, Will is known to be a fiercely intense Georgetown basketball fan and a funky bass guitar player. He hopes to attend law school after Georgetown and work in corporate litigation.

Omar Noureldin
Board of Directors

Omar Noureldin (SFS '10) is a Science, Technology, and International Affairs major from __________.  When asked, "Where are you from?" Omar always has a long, complicated response: "California, Egypt, Saudi Arabia…I don't know?" As a member of the Board and Chair of the Philanthropy Committee, Omar wants to see the Corp's mission fulfilled by directly giving back to the students of Georgetown – I mean, we're all shareholders! Omar is also involved with the Muslim Students Association, serves as Treasurer of Students for Justice in Palestine, and is the Executive Director for the North American Invitational Model United Nations (NAIMUN), the largest model UN conference in the Americas. When not researching at the Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding, Omar can be found tucked away in a corner of Lauinger.

John Tincoff
Board of Directors

John Tincoff (SFS '09) is an International Political Economy major from Vienna, Virginia. John is excited to have become a Corpie, seeing it as a fun and interesting way to give back to Georgetown his senior year. On the Board, John's is excited to be working on planning the Holiday Gala, heading up alumni affairs, and helping to plan the Corp's expansion in the coming year. In addition to his work for the Corp, John serves as the COO of the Student Investment Fund and sings as a bass with the Phantoms. He is also Chairman Emeritus of the International Relations Club and an avid documentary filmmaker. Otherwise, John is infamous for his quirky (or lackluster?) sense of humor and for humming loudly to music in the library (much to the chagrin of his cubby-neighbors). In his free time, he likes practicing his hand at photography, the classics, and jazz. John hopes to one day represent his country in the foreign service.
